Access Control

What this page is for:
 Roles, permission matrix, and which people get which roles. Super Admin bypasses Access Roles (full access). Data visibility uses Data scope (e.g. Self vs company-wide). Nothing in the matrix is live until you save.

Where: Admin Console → Company → Access Control
 /portal/settings/access-control
 Title: Access Control | Klaus Connect
 Pills: Roles · Members · User Roles · Review

Steps:

  1. Open Access Control.

  2. Work in one pill, then Save role access or Save user roles. Discard drops unsaved edits. Unsaved roles show Unsaved.


Roles

What this page is for:
 Permission matrix for one role. Built-in roles cannot be deleted (Built-in vs Custom).

Where: Access Control → Roles
 Subtitle: Roles, permissions and who can see which records.

Steps:

  1. Pick a role in the sidebar (member count badge).

  2. + New → Create role (or edit → Save changes).

  3. Toggle module permissions. Filter the matrix. Set Data scope.

  4. Save role access. Inactive roles show Inactive.


Members

What this page is for:
 Who is assigned to the role selected on the left.

Where: Access Control → Members
 Subtitle: People assigned to the selected role.

Steps:

  1. Select a role.

  2. Open Members.

  3. Add or remove people for that role, then save if the bar asks.


User Roles

What this page is for:
 Which roles one person has (not the matrix). Super Admin: Roles are optional.

Where: Access Control → User Roles
 Subtitle: Which roles a person has.

Steps:

  1. Search/select the employee.

  2. Check roles. Non–Super Admin typically needs exactly one role to save.

  3. Save user roles. Shortcut: edit roles from the user list → User Roles.


Review

What this page is for:
 Suggestions only. nothing changes until you save.

Where: Access Control → Review

Steps:

  1. Open Review.

  2. Read suggestions.

  3. Apply by saving on Roles or User Roles — this pill does not write by itself.
