What's New
Release notes for Klaus Connect — new features, improvements, and fixes.
30 versions — older ones stay collapsed
Klaus Connect Work Summary — Oct 12–18, 2026
This week focused on customer lead generation, reporting, employee communication, Gallery improvements, subcontractor payments, and accounting accuracy.
The biggest additions were Web Forms for collecting customer leads, a new Project Manager (PM) Report, improved sales and CSR reporting, Note Replies, AI-assisted email subjects, scheduled company announcements, a Gallery Map, and better payment allocation across multiple jobs.
Several existing features were also improved, including the Employee Directory, Ask the Office, Addresses Connect, and Company Dashboard.
Web Forms — New Customer Lead Forms
Klaus Connect now includes a Web Forms feature that allows companies to create public forms for their websites.
Where: Admin Console → Sales & Marketing → Web Forms
These forms can collect customer information and automatically create a Contact and Opportunity in Klaus Connect.
This means companies can receive leads directly from their websites without employees manually entering the information.
Web Forms can be configured with:
Custom form titles and fields
Lead source
Branch
Service-area restrictions
Email notifications
Photo uploads
Spam protection
Appointment requests
Existing-opportunity matching

Test Mode
All new Web Forms start in Test Mode.
While testing, submissions are emailed to the configured test recipients, but no Contact or Opportunity is created.
Once the form is ready, administrators can turn off Test Mode to begin accepting real leads.
Cloudflare Turnstile
Web Forms can also use Cloudflare Turnstile to help prevent bots and spam submissions.
Visitors may be required to complete a quick verification before submitting a form.
Appointment Requests
Web Forms can optionally collect requested appointment times when booking is enabled for both the form and company.
Important: A requested appointment time does not automatically create a confirmed calendar appointment.
Reports — New PM Report
A new PM Report is available in the Reports portal.
Where: Reports → Production → PM Report
The report helps management review Project Manager activity over a selected period.
It includes information such as:
Upcoming jobs
Scheduled jobs
Started jobs
Installed jobs
Closed jobs
Job values
Roofing squares
Installation rates
Average completion time
Users can select a date range, review the totals, and open the underlying job details.
The report is based on production calendar assignments for in-house Project Managers.
This should help Production Management better understand scheduling, workload, and completed work by Project Manager.

ADL Report — By Job Type
The ADL Report received an important improvement.
Users can now review performance using two breakdowns:
By Staff
By Job Type
This allows managers to analyze sales activity based on the type of work being sold rather than looking only at individual salespeople.
For example, management can review sales performance for roofing, siding, windows, or other configured work types.
Sales values are also handled more carefully when multiple salespeople are involved in the same job, reducing the risk of double-counting revenue.

ADS Reporting
ADS information was added to the reporting experience, including the report breakdown and leaderboard.
This provides another way to review sales performance alongside the existing ADL metrics.
CSR Report — Created & Set
The CSR Report now provides additional charts for Created and Set appointments.
Where: Reports → CSR Report
Managers can review appointment activity by:
Month
Branch
Created appointments
Set appointments
Set rate
The Set rate is calculated as:
Set Appointments ÷ Created Appointments
A new Exclude Cancelled option allows users to remove cancelled appointments from the relevant reporting results.
This should make CSR performance trends easier to review.

Performance Report Improvements
Performance reporting received several improvements.
Users can now:
Compare multiple performance metrics
Filter by Good, Bad, or All leads
Compare results against branch goals
Compare performance against last year
Branch goals can appear directly on charts, making it easier to see whether performance is meeting expectations.
Installed Renamed to Closed
The fifth performance metric previously displayed as Installed is now labeled Closed.
This provides clearer consistency with other Klaus Connect reports.
The system also distinguishes between revenue from jobs sold and revenue from jobs closed.
Stage Duration Report
Stage Duration reporting was improved for projects containing multiple jobs.
After the Sold stage, each active, non-cancelled job is evaluated separately.
Production Start and End dates only count once those dates have actually occurred.
This helps prevent future scheduled production dates from being treated as completed activity.
Subcontractors — Payment Register Improvements
The Subcontractors payment area received several important improvements.
Where: People → Subcontractors → Pay
The payment register now provides a clearer view of:
Supposed Paid
Actual Paid
Contracted Date
Closed Date
Signed
Submitted
Paid
Supposed Paid vs. Actual Paid
Supposed Paid represents the current expected crew installation cost.
Actual Paid represents the amount actually paid to the subcontractor.
This gives Accounting and Production a better way to compare expected subcontractor compensation with actual payments.
Recording Payments
Employees must enter the actual payment amount before marking a subcontractor payment as Paid.
If the payment date is left empty, Klaus Connect uses the current date.
Unchecking Paid clears the payment amount and payment date.
Subcontractor Access
Authorized employees can review the payment register.
Subcontractors who have access to their own records can only view their own payments.
Notes — Reply to a Note
Employees can now reply directly to an existing Note.
Where: Opportunity or Estimate → Notes
Previously, notes were primarily individual entries.
Now a new note can reference an earlier note, making it easier to continue a conversation without losing context.
When replying, the composer shows:
Replying to [Author]
The original note is referenced in the reply.
Replies remain connected to the same Opportunity.
Important
Automatic system-generated activity notes cannot be replied to.
If the original note is later deleted, the reply remains visible with an indication that the original note was deleted.
This functionality is also supported in mobile notes.

Notes — AI Email Subject
When emailing a Note, employees can now use AI to suggest an email subject.
Where: Notes → Email Note → Write Subject
After writing the email content, click Write Subject.
Klaus Connect generates a suggested subject based on the message.
Employees can accept the suggestion or edit it before sending.
This should make it faster to prepare clear email subjects without manually writing one every time.
The feature requires the company's OpenAI Ask AI functionality to be enabled.
Company Announcements — Scheduling
Company Announcements received a major upgrade.
Where: Admin Console → Message Announcement
Previously, Klaus Connect supported a basic company announcement.
Administrators can now manage multiple announcements and control when and where each one appears.
Available options include:
Always On
Scheduled Start
Scheduled End
Dashboard
Login Dialog
Both Dashboard and Login

Dashboard Announcements
An active announcement can appear directly on the Company Dashboard.
This allows employees to see important company information while working in Klaus Connect.

Login Announcements
Announcements can also appear when employees sign in.
Scheduled Announcements
Administrators can choose when an announcement becomes active and when it expires.
Scheduling follows the company's configured timezone.
This is useful for:
Company meetings
Important reminders
Holiday schedules
Policy changes
System updates
Temporary operational notices
Gallery — New Map View
The company-wide Gallery now includes a Map view.
Where: Insights → Gallery → Map
Instead of browsing only through photo cards, employees can view job photos geographically.
This makes it easier to explore project images based on where the work was performed.
Jobs without usable location information cannot be displayed as map pins.

Gallery — Bulk Delete
Gallery now supports selecting and deleting multiple files at once.
Users can enter selection mode, choose files, and select Delete.
Important
Bulk deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Klaus Connect displays a confirmation before deleting the files.
A record of the deleted filenames is also added to the associated Opportunity activity history.
Employees should carefully review the selected files before confirming.
Gallery — Upload Up to 50 Files
The Gallery upload limit has been increased.
Employees can now upload:
Up to 50 files at once
Up to 50 MB per file
This should be especially useful for Production teams uploading large numbers of job photos.
The mobile Gallery also supports the increased file count.
Company Dashboard Improvements
The Company Dashboard received several usability improvements.
Personalized Welcome
The Dashboard now displays a personalized greeting:
Welcome, [Employee Name]
Production Start
Today's activity now includes Production Start information.
Closed Metric
The scoreboard label has been updated from Installed to Closed.
Employee Assignments
Employee dashboard information now includes items assigned specifically to the signed-in user, including:
Job Flags
To-Do Tasks
This helps employees focus on the work that requires their attention.
Employee Directory
A dedicated Employee Directory is now available.
Where: People → Employee Directory
The directory focuses on company employees rather than mixing employees with subcontractors, guests, and other contact types.
Users can:
Browse employees by department
Search by name
Search by email
Open employee details
Access depends on the appropriate employee viewing permissions.
This should make it easier to find coworkers and department information.
Ask the Office — Web Search
Ask the Office now includes a Web Search capability.
This expands the assistant beyond internal Klaus Connect information when an external information lookup is appropriate.
For example, employees may be able to ask questions that require publicly available information rather than only CRM records.
The existing company-specific permission controls continue to apply when Ask the Office accesses internal business information.
Ask the Office — Better Charts
Ask the Office received improvements to chart generation.
Instead of producing unnecessary charts, the assistant can focus on the specific metric requested.
For example:
A single metric can be displayed without unrelated information.
A breakdown or percentage distribution can be shown as a pie chart.
Voice questions can produce charts that better match what the employee actually asked.
This should make AI-generated business information easier to interpret.
Addresses Connect — Sold & Closed Revenue
Addresses Connect now provides additional financial information on geographic areas.
Where: Addresses → Addresses Connect
Town, County, and ZIP views can display:
Sold Revenue
Closed Revenue
This adds financial context to geographic market analysis.
Management can better understand not only where the company has worked, but also how much business has been sold and closed in those areas.
Change Orders — Unapprove Permissions
Change Order approval controls were tightened.
Once a Change Order has been approved, only users with the appropriate management-level authority can:
Remove the approval
Change commission-payment roles after approval
This includes authorized Managers, Executives, and Super Admins.
This helps prevent unauthorized changes to approved Change Orders and associated compensation decisions.
Payment Allocation Improvements
Customer payment handling received another significant improvement.
A single customer payment can now be distributed across multiple jobs and payment milestones.
This is especially important for multi-job estimates and bundled contracts.
Payment History
Payment History now presents one customer transaction per row, even when the payment is allocated across multiple jobs.
Refunds
Refunds can be connected to the specific original payment allocation being reversed.
QuickBooks Matching
QuickBooks customer and payment matching was improved to reduce duplicate customer links and duplicate payment records.
Payment methods also have clearer visual identification, including:
Check
Cash
Credit Card
Deposit
Payment Link
Financing
These changes should make customer payment records easier for Accounting to understand and reconcile.
Website Lead Matching Improvements
Public lead intake was improved across several Klaus Connect integrations.
This includes:
Web Forms
Referral submissions
Roof Ignite
Instant Estimator
When a new lead arrives, Klaus Connect checks for an existing contact using:
Phone number
Email address
If the customer already has an open Opportunity for the same service, the system can be configured to reuse that Opportunity rather than creating a duplicate.
The new activity is recorded on the existing Opportunity.
Staff notifications can also indicate when an existing contact or Opportunity was reused.
This should help reduce duplicate customer and opportunity records.
Estimate Bundle Improvements
When creating a new estimate bundle, measurement inputs are now determined by the selected template.
For example, an Insulation template should not display roof measurement fields that are irrelevant to the work being estimated.
This makes estimate creation cleaner and reduces unnecessary information.
Company Timezone Settings
Company-wide time and calendar settings were consolidated.
Company Configuration now controls:
Company Timezone
Week Start
Overtime and pay-period settings remain under HR.
This should improve consistency between Calendar, Dispatch, and other scheduling-related features.
System Status
A new System Status entry is available in Admin Console.
Where: Admin Console → Platform → System Status
This opens the system status page for Klaus Connect.
It provides a central place for authorized users to review available platform status information.
Appearance — Dark Glass Intensity
Employees using Dark Glass appearance options now have an additional customization setting.
A Glass Intensity slider allows users to adjust the strength of the glass-style appearance.
The preference is saved to the employee's account.
General System Improvements
Several additional improvements were made behind the scenes, including:
Better loading indicators
Improved Contact error messages
More consistent theme colors
Better handling of temporary property-analysis errors
Improved integration health monitoring
Additional payment and accounting reliability improvements
These changes are intended to make Klaus Connect more stable and easier to troubleshoot.
