A campaign name can cover several months. Klaus Connect stores one record per month, each with its own budget, actual cost, dates, and status. The list page is titled Marketing Campaigns.
Before you start
At least one active lead source exists (Admin Console → Lead Sources).
At least one branch code exists (Admin Console → Company → Locations).
1. How to create a marketing campaign
Open MKT Campaign Setting.
Click Create Campaign. The builder title is Create New Campaign.
Under 1) Campaign Details:
Enter Campaign Name (required). Example placeholder:
Spring 2026 Digital Ads.Choose Year (previous year through three years ahead).
Choose Status: Draft, Active, or Completed (defaults to Draft).
Select one or more Months. Use All or Clear if needed.
On the right, under Monthly Budget & Cost, enter Budget and Cost for each selected month. Both are optional. To fill every month the same way, type a value in the small Budget or Cost box and click Apply.
Under 2) Lead Sources, pick at least one channel. Use Select All / Clear, or search. A yellow highlight with Conflicts found means that lead source is already on another campaign in an overlapping period — remove it before you can save.
Under 3) Target Branch Codes, pick at least one branch from Settings → Locations.
Under 4) Notes, add optional team notes.
Click Save Campaign.
Each selected month becomes its own campaign row on the list, sharing the same name.
Save stays disabled until the campaign has a name, at least one month, at least one lead source, and at least one branch code — and there is no lead-source conflict and no duplicate month.
If that name already exists for a selected month, the page says to use Edit Campaign instead of creating again.
2. How to update cost
Use this when actual spend is known for one month (one card on the list).
Open MKT Campaign Setting.
Find the month you want (filter by Campaign, Year, or Month if the list is long).
On that card, open the ⋯ menu (Campaign actions).
Click Update Cost.
The Update Campaign Cost dialog shows the campaign name and Current Cost.
Enter the new Cost and click Update Cost.
The list then shows Cost on the card, and Over budget / Under budget if a budget is also set.
Other ways to change cost
⋯ → Edit Campaign → Actual Cost on that one period, then Update Campaign.
Header Edit Campaign (pencil) → Edit Campaign (Multiple Months) to set cost month by month, or type a cost and click Apply for every selected month.
The Update Cost dialog cannot be saved empty. Enter 0 if spend should read as zero.
3. How to rename a marketing campaign
Campaign names live in a shared name list. Every monthly row with that name points at the same entry. Changing the name in Edit Campaign does not rename it — use Campaign Names.
Open MKT Campaign Setting.
Click Campaign Names.
Find the name in the table. The Campaigns column shows how many monthly rows use it.
Click the pencil (Rename).
Type the new name and press Enter, or click the check (Save). Esc or the X cancels.
Click Close.
Renaming updates every campaign that used the old name. The list behind the dialog reloads so the new name shows on those cards.
A name is required; saving an empty name is blocked. If the name is already taken, the dialog shows an error.
4. How to delete a marketing campaign
Deleting removes that month’s campaign record. It does not remove the name from Campaign Names while other months still use it. This cannot be undone.
Delete one month
Open MKT Campaign Setting.
On the card, open ⋯.
Click Delete Campaign.
Confirm: Are you sure you want to delete this campaign? This action cannot be undone.
Click Delete.
Delete several months
Check the cards you want.
Click Delete Selected.
Confirm the count and the listed periods.
Click Delete.
If filters hide other months with the same name, a warning appears: those remaining rows stay, so the name still shows in the Campaign filter.
Delete an unused name
After every monthly row for a name is gone, the name can still sit in Campaign Names as Unused (it keeps occupying that unique name).
Click Campaign Names.
On an Unused row, click the trash icon.
A name still in use stays disabled: In use by N campaign(s).
