Change Order

What this page is for:
 Add, edit, email, and collect signature on a change to a job after the original contract. Create/edit lives on the job. The estimate tab is a read-only roll-up.

Where (create / send): Job → Production → Change Order (#changeorder)
 Card: Change Order
 Empty: No change orders. Click "Add" to create a new change order.

Where (read-only): Estimate → Change Order (#changeorders)
 Heading Change Orders · Summary across all jobs · read-only summary
 Empty: No change orders yet. Change orders are created on the job page.

Steps (job):

  1. Open the job → Change Order.

  2. Click Add.

  3. Fill Change Order Authorization (line items, notes). Order badges: Additions, Reductions, or Additions & Reductions. Columns: Date, Order, Type, Desc., Status, Amount, Actions.

  4. Click Create (or Save when editing). Footer shows Change Order ID.

  5. From the row: edit (pencil), email, PDF preview, import signed file, or delete.

  6. On an existing unsigned order you can Sign on app or Send email. Toggle Approve when the office accepts it.

  7. Footer Total is the net of all change orders on the job.

Signed preview actions: Download PDF, Email, Print, Close. Modal title: Signed Document or Change Order Preview.


Add

What this page is for:
 The create form for a change order. Same modal is edit when opened from the pencil.

Where: Change Order → Add (or empty-state Add)

Steps:

  1. Click Add.

  2. Enter products/labor and Additional notes for this change order...

  3. Click Create.

  4. Use Print or PDF if you need a paper copy before sending.


Send Change Order to Customer

What this page is for:
 Email the homeowner a signing link (status open) or email the signed copy.

Where:
 Row envelope (open) → modal Send Change Order to Customer
 or document → Send email
 After signed: Email Signed Change Order

Steps:

  1. Click the envelope on an open row (or Send email on the document).

  2. Check To, Cc, Bcc, Subject, Message.

  3. Click Send Email.


Upload Signed Document

What this page is for:
 Attach a paper-signed image or PDF when the customer did not use the email link.

Where: Change Order row → import (download icon) → Upload Signed Document

Steps:

  1. Click the import icon.

  2. Drop or choose an image or PDF.

  3. Click Upload Document (or Cancel).


Customer signs a Change Order

What this page is for:
 Public signing page. Invalid link: Invalid link — missing or expired signing token.

Where: Email from Send Change Order to Customer
 /change-order/sign/{change_order_id}?eid=…&token=…

Steps:

  1. Open the link.

  2. Review the change order → Next.

  3. Sign: Draw or Type, Clear if needed.

  4. Check the authorization box.

  5. Click Submit Signature.

  6. Completion screen. ← Back to review returns to the review step before submit.


Change Orders

What this page is for:
 Company-wide list of change orders. It does not create them. Opening a row goes to the job.

Where: Admin Console → Change Order
 /portal/products/change-order-list
 Title: Change Orders | Klaus Connect
 Breadcrumb: Change Orders

Steps:

  1. Open the list.

  2. Search if needed.

  3. Click Change Order ID for details, or the info icon on Estimate ID to open the job.

  4. Columns include Change Order ID, Estimate ID, Type, Amount, Status.
